HOW ARTEL SIMPLIFIES THE VERIFICATION OF LOW-VOLUME DMSO DISPENSES ?

For the past 20 years Analis has provided sales and distribution support in the Benelux region to Artel, the global technology leader in ultra-low volume liquid delivery measurement and quality assurance. Analis is pleased to announce that it will now be offering a volume verification service for automated liquid handlers in the Benelux region.

Laboratories often assume that their liquid handling instruments, from pipettes to automated liquid handlers, are operating within specifications. However this is a risky assumption to make as data integrity relies on accurate and precise liquid delivery. It can also be an expensive assumption as applications ranging from drug discovery to molecular diagnostics rely on the accuracy and precision of the volumes of reagents and samples dispensed.

Artel’s volume verification systems—the PCS® Pipette Calibration System and the MVS® Multichannel Verification System—employ ratiometric photometry through dual-dye, dual-wavelength absorbance measurements to determine a target volume of sample solution dispensed from a pipette or liquid handler.

Through years of field experience, Artel has developed curricula for improving pipetting results and automated liquid handler performance that are highly respected by laboratory professionals throughout the world.

Analis has been trained by Artel in the use of the MVS, and is delighted to offer such a service within the Benelux region. While automation providers typically only test their equipment at factory-specified volumes, Analis will be able to test liquid handling instruments of any make or model at any volumes the customer requires, to ensure that liquid handling errors do not compromise the integrity of assay results. What’s more, due to the speed and ease of use of the MVS, accuracy and precision data can be collected on a tip-by-tip, or well-by-well basis rather than as an average across a plate as is typical for many quality assurance methods.
