Cyto centrifuges
The cytocentrifuge, sometimes referred to as a cytospin, can be used to transfer any sedimentable particles from liquid suspension onto a microscope slide so that they can be stained and examined, but is primarily used to transfer biological cells.
It is widely used in clinical medicine and biological research. The literature of clinical applications is extensive and includes such specimens as cerebrospinal fluid, synovial fluid, urine, fine needle aspirates, and a variety of body fluid and lavage samples.
Flexible and robust centrifuges developed by Sigma offers various rotors and accessories for cytology and are also compatible with popular cytocentrifuge accessories currently on the market like i.e. RESOPSIN® or Shandon™ cytology clips.
